Mark Wheatley
Aviation Risk Advisor

Mark joined Safety Wise in March 2012 and has an extensive aviation and risk management background working with numerous governmental and commercial organisations over a period of 40 years, including 28 years military service. He is a Certified Practising Risk Manager (CPRM), has two Masters Degrees, and is a commercial pilot (fixed and rotary wing).
Mark has been instrumental in the introduction and facilitation of aviation safety and risk management frameworks, profiling and training for many major events, commercial companies and overseas projects. His experience demonstrates his high level of knowledge in applied safety and risk management.
Before joining Safety Wise, Mark was heavily involved in aviation operations and risk management in the Middle East, including United Nations (UN) air operations in support of the 2009/2010 Afghan elections. He also oversaw the management and operation of a large international aviation and logistics company operating throughout the Middle East and Africa, providing requisite support on aviation, security and risk related issues.
Mark’s area of expertise lies predominately with aviation, operational and security risk management. Safety Wise clients benefit directly from Mark’s extensive experience in the practical application of risk management across aviation and a diverse range of industries.
