Mike's career in safety spans over two decades, starting as a pilot and progressing through various leadership roles. With more than 20 years of flying experience, he developed a strong appreciation for safety, leading him to pursue a Diploma in Aviation and a focus on flight crew safety, then airline operational safety and risk management.
His commitment to excellence saw him serve as Chief Pilot and Chief Flying Instructor, positions that demanded technical proficiency and a systematic approach to training, safety and compliance. Transitioning from flying, Mike now applies his expertise in WHS safety, leading initiatives in risk assessment, change management, and safety culture development.
His analytical mindset and deep operational insight make him well-suited for these responsibilities. To further his knowledge, Mike earned a Certificate IV in TAE, Diploma in Work Health and Safety and achieved Lead Auditor certification, highlighting his dedication to rigorous safety standards and continuous improvement.
