ICAM Training In Times Of A Pandemic
Over the last few weeks we've seen a flurry of information, and misinformation, spreading like an out of control pandemic around the world in relation to Coronavirus.
We've seen insane amounts of stockpiling of toilet paper and other items people consider essential to surviving such an event.
We've seen travel bans put in place.
And from our end, we're starting to have discussions with clients about the postponement of training due to organizational requirements to protect employees.
In light of this, this week we've been discussing our online ICAM Team training as an option to consider if you have urgent ICAM training requirements during this event.
BACKGROUND
Our resident ICAM expert, Cam, will step you through the ICAM Investigation process.
The online ICAM Team training takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.
Literally every screen requires interaction and engagement of some sort from the Learner, whether it be multiple choice, hot spots, and similar activities to gather data, organize the data, analyze the data and developing a report into the incident being investigated.
In 2017, we won Gold and Platinum at the prestigious LearnX Awards.
The great thing is, no matter where you are in the world, as long as you have an internet connection, you can access the training!

CONTENT
After viewing CCTV footage of a workplace incident, Cam will step you through the entire investigation process, including the development of the PEEPO, scene photography, witness interviews, development of a timeline and 5 Why's, through to the ICAM analysis and development of recommendations to prevent a recurrence.
OPTIONS
We have a stand-alone unit available, as well as a bundled version.
Stand-alone option- is access to the online training module only
Bundled option- is access to the online training module, and we'll send to you (anywhere in the world!) a hard copy of the ICAM Poster, ICAM Facilitator Guide, and a Student Workbook.
We also have a Spanish version available at https://safetywise.clui.com/courseDetails/32135
HOW CAN IT BE USED?
Traditionally we've marketed the online option as-
- A great way to refresh already trained investigators
- An awareness-raising tool
Given the current climate and concerns around Coronavirus, we're now seeing an uptake as an alternative to face-to-face training.
Does a 90-minute online session replace a full 2 day, interactive workshop? No, but it's still a viable option if you have an immediate need for ICAM training.
